Manage categories
Use categories to organize your report templates, making them easy to locate and identify. You can create private categories for you personal use or share the categories with your colleagues. Categories can be organized in folders to support a logical structure.
Example: Categories like “Public” and “Private” can be added to the “Sector” folder.
Categorize report templates
Note: Assigning a report template to a category will make the report template visible to other users as soon as it is published.
- Click Live Reporting.
- Select the report templates and packages you want to categorize.
- Click Categorize. The Assign to categories dialog opens.
- Select () the categories you want use. You can also unassign categories by deselecting categories ().
- Note: Categories marked with have already been assigned to some of the selected report templates.
- Click Apply.
To see the report templates you have categorized, select the relevant category/categories in the Search & filter bar.
Create category folder
- Click Live Reporting.
- Click the Categories section in the Search & filter bar.
- Click next to Categories. The New category folder dialog opens.
- Enter the name of the category folder.
- Click Create.
Tip: You can drag and drop categories and category folders to change their order. Categories cannot be moved to other folders.
Create category
- Click Live Reporting.
- Go to the Categories section in the Search & filter bar.
- Hold the mouse-pointer over the category folder in which you want to create the category.
- Click . The New category dialog opens.
- Enter the name of the category.
- Click Create.
Share category
To let your colleagues use the categories you create, you can share them.
In order to do so:
- Click Live Reporting.
- Go to the Categories section in the Search & filter bar.
- Hold the mouse-pointer over the category you want to share.
- Click . The Share category dialog opens.
- Select the users with whom you want to share the category:
- Search: Use the Search field to search for and select individual users.
- Roles: In the top part of the list, you can select one or more roles. The category will be shared with all users belonging to the roles you have selected.
- Users: Select individual users in the list.
- Click Share.
